Anoka, Minn. — Six Anoka High School student-athletes committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level during the NCAA early signing period on Nov. 12. The group represents a wide range of sports and reflects the growing depth of Anoka’s athletic programs beyond football and basketball.

The six athletes participated in a signing ceremony hosted by Anoka-Hennepin Schools, formally marking their commitments under the NCAA’s National Letter of Intent program.
Jordyn Jones (Softball)
Jones joins the Minnesota Gophers’ 2026 signing class. A standout for Anoka, she earned All-Conference honors in 2024 and 2025 and was named All-State in 2025. She will join her sister, Brooklyn Jones, who is already on the Gophers’ roster. Jones has expressed interest in pursuing a career in medicine.
Hayden Reeder (Volleyball)
Reeder, a highly regarded outside and right-side hitter, committed to the University of Arizona. She emerged as a key offensive leader during her junior season, earning recognition for her high-efficiency play and impact on the court.
Isaiah Salami (Track & Field)
Salami is one of Anoka’s top jumpers, competing in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump. His commitment to the University of St. Thomas, an NCAA Division I program, reflects his strong performances and state-level competitiveness.
Aaron Peterson (Cross Country / Track & Field)
Peterson heads to the University of Wyoming after excelling in both cross country and track for Anoka. He is known for his range in middle-distance events and has recorded a competitive personal best in the 800 meters of under 1:53.
Wes (Wesley) Anderson (Swimming & Diving)
Anderson will join Quincy University, which competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. His signing adds to the university’s roster of divers and multi-event swimmers recruited from across the Midwest.
Shelby Aldinger (Equestrian)
Aldinger will compete for the University of Minnesota Crookston’s Division II equestrian program. She has been active in equestrian competition and leadership roles throughout high school, including involvement in local and statewide equestrian associations.
The National Letter of Intent represents a binding agreement between a student-athlete and an NCAA Division I or II institution, offering athletic financial aid in exchange for a commitment to attend the school for one academic year. For the six Anoka students, Signing Day marks the culmination of years of training, preparation, and academic dedication.
